The
amazing Loterie Farm Adventure Center is located at a 299-year
old former sugar plantation on the French side of St. Maarten island
(Saint Martin) approximate 35 minutes drive from the Cruise Terminal.
Situated in a quiet lush valley, close to Pic Paradise, the islands
highest point, which has incredible panoramic views of the
neighboring Eastern Caribbean Islands, it’s a great place to visit,
before you even start the activities.
By the way, it’s also host to what many locals regard as the best
restaurant on the Island! And is in itself a delightful bar and eatery,
with Balinese style seating and lush verdant jungle surrounding the
establishment.
After a detailed safety briefing, experienced instructors will
run you through the use of the high-tech harnesses and karabiner systems,
and explain the double redundant safety features to ensure your relaxed
enjoyment.
Once
kitted out and briefed, it’s off to the tree tops for your Fly Zone Tour! The exhilarating
traverse adventure course is made up of a dizzying sequence of
zip-lines, rope swings and ‘bridges’ suspended from platforms mounted in
the highest trees of the forest.
While you traverse between majestic 200-year-old Mango and Mahogany
trees, you will experience, “up close and personal” the rich
bio-diversity of St Martin’s only rain forest micro-climate (Home to the
largest bird habitat in the Northeastern Caribbean and the surrounding
forest is full of various birdsong and calls, as well as delicious ripe
mango).
Although you will eventually come down by means of the last in a line of
high speed zip lines, it takes a little longer for the adrenaline to go
away. With friendly instructors on hand along the route to help and give
encouragement, this is an extremely well run operation with friendly, but
very professional staff, and excellent standards of safety and
equipment.
At
the
Loterie Farm Adventure Park, dedicated Staff will assist beginners and
look after you every step of the way through your treetops adventure.
Please note: Min Height 54 inches or 4ft- 6 inches /
sneakers & comfortable clothing required, and you are requested to leave
jewelry and watches
onboard. You must be physically fit for this tour and there is 250lb
weight limit.
