Our St. Maarten Shipwreck Beach Snorkeling Excursion is the ideal snorkeling day for families and small groups.

With a pickup close to the cruise terminal, it's short 5 minute walk to embark for this tour. The ex-naval launch provides a relaxing, roomy, and comfortable cruise from Philipsburg, across the expanse of Great Bay & into Little Bay, (a quiet cove with a lovely calm beach that is ideal for kids to swim and play).

Throughout the cruise, you will enjoy great views of the town, your cruise ship at dock, and the lush hillsides of St Maarten, not to mention St. Barths in the far distance.

Once the launch heads around the Great Bay headland, it anchors under the ruins of Old Fort Amsterdam in Little Bay Cove.

This first anchorage is pleasantly calm, and suitable for swimming and fun for all ages. Here, at this designated safe snorkel park area, you can explore shipwrecks, the hulls of a number of sunken and wrecked vessels in crystal clear water, amongst tropical fish, or just relax under the ample shade onboard with an open bar & music.

With easy boarding ladders, and a stable boat, it's a great opportunity to try out snorkeling, particularly for beginners.

After approximately one hour of fantastic snorkeling, it's off to the sandy cove at Little Bay, where you will drop anchor again, and head into the beach for some sunbathing time, with your boat close at hand for the inclusive drinks service and snacks.

After chilling out here, its back onboard for the leisurely cruise back to Philipsburg, where your Captain can drop you off at the downtown area dock for shopping if you request this option on boarding.
