The St. Maarten Big “Round Island” Catamaran Tour is the ultimate way to sail and snorkel and see the island from the coast. This is specifically ideal for larger groups who want an exclusive high quality private sailing day. What is even better, the Cat will pick you up (and drop you off) from right next to the cruise ship dock, making your St Maarten sailing day hassle free. Your yachts for the day are as follows; and you can opt for either, to suite group size or preference: Cat #1- This beautiful 65ft ex-French transatlantic racing Cat, has been expertly converted to provide a huge stable and spacious catamaran. It can accommodate up to 55 guests on a full day of relaxing coastal sailing around the island. With both a shaded cabin, and an open sunny deck area, plus a truly massive trampoline to lie on at the front, there is a comfortable area for any taste. Ladders drop down at the front to afford convenient and easy access to the beach or snorkeling.
The captain will make three snorkel stops at delightful beaches through the day for you to swim and relax and those easy boarding steps make access a breeze. Dependent on weather conditions on the day, Tintamare Island, Grand Case village and beach, and bae rouge would be typical stopovers to swim, snorkel and chill out. You can even bring along your own music with our i-pod plug in, or CD player, onboard the Cat. Lie back with “floaty noodle” in the warm Caribbean waters with a cold beer, next to your own ocean going Catamaran for the day. Onboard you will find two toilets and changing facilities, showers, and a very well stocked bar, which includes beer, rum punch, sodas, spirits and mixers. Lunch onboard (optional) includes marinated rotisserie roasted chickens prepared onboard with potato salad, garden salad, coleslaw and tropical fruit platters.
Alternately, we can stop at Grand Case village for lunch (which is rightly famous as one of the culinary hot spots of the world!). Food here ranges from the delicious famous Creole beach BBQ’s for around $20 to a 4* Michelin restaurant for……well, you can guess. This thoroughbred is one the fastest sailing catamarans on the island and has clocked speeds of 17 knots under full sail, (and the Captain loves to sail!) Large family groups, weddings, corporate events, and incentive trips are all ideally catered for on this excellent large Catamaran tour. Cat #2 – Built in Cape Town, South Africa in 2007, and designed for speed and comfortable day charters, this 39ft Catamaran offers up to 40 guests a spectacular 4 hour sail and snorkel down the coast of St Maarten. Spacious and comfortable, she offers a large shaded bar and seating area, wide open decks and a fun trampoline up front. Access to the water is via easy boarding ladders at the stern.
Two toilets and fresh water showers, plus an onboard BBQ offer all the amenities you could need, A well stocked open bar including Heineken, Coors, Rum, and fruit punches, sodas, whisky, vodka, gin is provided, along with a French baguette and snacks. A full Rotisserie BBQ chicken lunch, with rice and salads is also available for an additional cost.
