The Scuba Diving highlights in St Maarten include French Reef with our Hawksbill turtle who has been residing here for two years. She has been named 'Tanya'. Tanya also has a new friend...a beautiful Green turtle. The green turtle showed up about 6 months ago and decided to stay. Eagle Rays, nurse sharks and Caribbean reef sharks are also seen daily. Not to mention the southern stingray population out in the sandy areas.

St Maarten offers over 23 great dive sites to choose from, 11 scuba diving locations offer fascinating wrecks including the famous HMS Proselyte, a Dutch frigate and was launched in 1770. Originally named "Jason", she was handed over to the British by a mutinous crew in 1796. In 1801 she was discovered and named Proselyte Reef.

In almost two centuries she has been completely covered with coral, and all varieties of fish and marine life can be found here. Several cannons, anchors and other debris from the wreck still litter the site. At 15 to 45 feet this is a great "site-seeing" and photographic dive. Other dive sites range from deep tunnels to sea mounts, huge coral formations and marine life. Ranging from the microscopic, to turtles, rays, crabs and sharks.

The Scuba Diving Excursion offers programs for all levels of Scuba abilities:

ONE TANK DIVES: Discover the St Maarten underwater wonders on the 3hr scuba tour, visit either one of the famous wrecks or play with sea turtle on the vibrant shallow reefs!

TWO TANK DIVES: The double scuba dive offers two of the most beautiful locations in one day! The 4hr dive trip will enable you to view wrecks, reefs and pristine marine live all in one!

THE FAMOUS ST MAARTEN SHARK DIVE: If you think you have seen it all the Shark Scuba Dive will complete your Dive Log Book! This 3 hour excursion will immerse you with Caribbean Reef Sharks in the wild. Beginning with a "shark feeding class" your instructor will guide you through the experience, feed sharks show you the wonderful creatures like you have never seen before!

THE DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING COURSE: Always wanted to Scuba Dive? Been snorkeling throughout your Cruise? Ever wondered what our World below really looks like? This excursion is for you! The Discover Scuba Diving Course is an easy, interactive scuba experience with no previous experience necessary. A 1hr scuba class will demonstrate dive techniques, scuba equipment use and underwater safety. Then it's off to the beautiful Reefs with your personal Dive Master at hand which will Guide you to admire the wonders of the Caribbean sea!

The St Maarten scuba program is conducted with one of the most respected small independent dive operators on the Island, they take great pride in the quality of service, Scuba equipment and instruction they provide. In fact, the owner was one of the original pioneers of scuba diving as we know it, and he has taught and dived over the years with such notable personalities as Sandra Bullock, Jackson Browne, Matthew McConaughey, Keith Emerson, Gianfranco Fini (Italy's foreign minister) to name a few.

To provide more personal attention and better scuba diving to our clients we restrict the amount of divers on the boat at one time, from 4 to 6 scuba divers only. This means however, that the boat fills up and you should book early to avoid disappointment. The vessel has new engines, shade, and is spacious.
